The JoyFoo Life!~

Today marks the end of the 2015.. This year has been a relatively relaxed and happy year, as i spent most of my time working in a contract job, where people are friendly and the workload is manageable. Not only that, since the workplace is so close to me and my sister's workplace, we went to work by car most of the time. As such, i have become quite a lazy person. oops.

However, i did lose weight! Downloading the miracle MyFitnessApp kickstarted my lose weight plan and i am proud to say, that i have lost 4.5kg so far! still got 2.5kg more to lose, and i will be a happy girl!:)

Next, will be the proposal on 26Dec2015. Bf apparantly planned really long for this surprise with my friends and sister, and gave me a huge surprise on that day. He asked me to wear nicer because i will be meeting his mum for dinner in an atas place. Thinking that it was true, i dressed up nicely, and went to meet him at clementi mrt station. When i saw him wearing t shirt and jeans, i felt abit cheated. LOL.

Then we took bus to the venue. Like always, i am quite a blur person with directions, so it is quite easy to bluff me since i usually just follow him everywhere and don't ask where we are going. (i have no idea where is it located anyway). When we reached, he asked if i want to get some water and food. I felt a bit confused since we are suppose to meet his mum for dinner? He bought one subway cookie for me and i happily ate it.

Then came the funny part. he brought me into this forest, i mean...literally dark and dangerous route, and i was thinking. is he trying to rape me. HAHA.

He keep telling me the pretty restaurant was ahead (which i half-believed since in malaysia there is also a penang hill like that).

Part 2

When i walked into this place decorated with what seemed like many blue and pink lights, my first reaction is...wow..nice, i wonder who is having a proposal today...then it struck me. It was mine!!! Moreover, i saw his mum and my mum blowing bubbles, and i was totally in awed. Heard the korean music which started playing, the song of the drama "Nine Tail Fox", which we watched together when he was wooing me.. Started to tear up uncontrollably..it felt like a fairy tale!

He walked me into the stage surrounded by my cell group members and my family, and presented me with a bunch of lovely red rose. Holding on to the happy roses, i sat down and he started playing guitar and singing a song with lyrics he made up of how we met. After the initial part of feeling touched and tearing, i just felt so excited and happy!:) The whole night passed too fast.. After singing two songs, he brought me to the photos he has prepared..and i think my smile stretched to the corner of face..all the way to my ears. HAHA.

Finally, he popped the question, and i saw this beautiful heart shaped ring. I felt that he was abit nervous (although he kept denying :P)..and he told me that he will take care of me...and all the sweet things. He then bent down on his knee, and asked for my hand. After pausing for a moment, i said yes! and tadah!! it was a happy ending night:)

We then packed up and by then, the place was already SOO dark. Really like to thank all those who were there to help from afternoon till night.. and also heard that they came here to recce for many times already!:) and my family for being present! Thank you Yunyou and Yi Ling too for helping out in photography, and capturing such beautiful pictures on our important day. and of course, a big thank you to my beloved fiance, for spending one month plus of his holidays planning this!:)

We then went to have a dinner where daniel treated everyone (13ppl?).. :P (i was suppose to share half of the costs i think)..

We then went home and we were both having some private sweet moments at the bus stop, not realising that the cell group members were watching for a few seconds. aHH!! *hides*

Indeed, today is one of my happiest days ever!:)

And so, i went to watch the most popular taiwan movie "Our times", yesterday.

Initially, I was wondering what's the great fuss about this movie as it seemed a normal boy meets girl story. But wow, i was SOOOO wrong. Comparing to the hot favourite "You are the Apple of My Eye", a 2011 Tawainese Romance film, this movie is one which is from a girl's point of view.

I thoroughly enjoyed every second of the show (i am serious! not exaggerating)..and was laughing/crying the whole time, along with everyone in the cinema. In my opinion, this movie is even better than "You are the Apple of My Eye"!! :)

OMG it is soo good that i want to watch a second time. Highly recommended! :)

And so the company i am working for ask me to extend my contract for another 6 months...so, yay! don't have to think about finding a job till next march!:)

Since i am going to stay here for another half a year, i have decided to make full use of the time here..to lose weight, and save money.

Shall start going to the gym with my bestie here twice a week and maybe pick up zumba(if there are vacancies for us).. and money? plan to save $1000 a month.

Seems like a difficult goal but i am excited =D

Once again, thank God for the provision!

ok i am back to blogging again cos one of my ex colleague said he missed my writings. Wow i am so surprised that people still reads my blog, felt so touched by it!:D

This sunday will be my water baptism, and my parents will be coming.. It has been 9 years!! of parental objection, so i am actually super glad that God opened their hearts finally. :)

So what Christian name have i chose for myself?

JOY.

yes,haha!i will be called Joy Lee from now on! So funny. =P

Why i chose this name was because it is always my dream to make people laugh and bring joy to them... but recently i seem to lose that gift, and all i am interested to do is to go home and sleep. Maybe i should change my name to 'Sleep' instead. HAHA ok bad joke. I hope i get back the drive again, God!

How about my job? My 6 month contract is ending! Will be looking out for a permanent job...

Pastor says we have to pray specific prayers, not general ones..so here are my prayers for my new job!

1. Use Accpac Accouting software
2. Really friendly colleagues that are willing to teach
3. Even better pay than now! Good remuneration package.
4. Accounts Payable Jobs that i can handle well
5. Good location

Yeah that's all. I strongly believe He will provide. Will let you guys know when my prayers are answered. =D

ok back to posting after a really long break.. what has changed so far?

I quit my job in the school due to some turn of events...and now i am working in a US company!

It took me quite a while to get back on my feet because i keep on missing work in SJI, and can't get over the fact that i really ended my dream job. >< my first permanent job that i loved so much. that i actually had plans to stay until 80 years old. lol.

Even as i am writing now...i wonder if i can work there one day.

Now i fully understand the meaning of don't live in the past, or you won't treasure the present. I had been living in the past for the past 4-5 months...not seeing the blessing that God has put in front of me. MNC, woodlands..so close to my house.. and a good pay. arghh.

But from today onwards, i am going to be strong, and pull myself together. I don't want to keep on feeling sleepy and waste my life away sleeping on my bed. Everyone just need 7-8hours of sleep..but i can sleep up to 15hours during the weekend! Haha. i wonder if i am a pig.

Not my will, but yours be done. I will leave my life for God to decide. where i will go, how my life will turn out... because He has a plan for me! and in Romans 8:28, it says "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose." Jiayou myself!:)
